Antoni Kaliszewski (Consultant) graduated with a B.Sc honours degree in Mathematical Physics (1973) from the University of Adelaide, and with a M.Appp.Sc. in Geophysics (1977) from the University of New South Wales (Australia).

Toni worked for 14 years in the oil and gas industry and in that time held senior positions at Esso Australia and Delhi Petroleum. He has a broad range of expertise, from planning and supervising geophysical surveys, through to detailed geophysical modelling, reservoir engineering and simulation.

Over the years Toni specialised in project evaluation and economic modelling, skills which he now uses to great effect as an independent consultant. He has worked for many organisations as a business analyst and investment advisor. These include the National Westminster Bank (Hong Kong), LASMO International (Malaysia), Ampolex (Australia) and Marubeni Oil (Australia).

Whilst consulting at Western Mining Corporation he wrote their corporate financial model for the Olympic Dam Expansion Project; a 2 billion dollar project aimed at tripling throughput.

His most recent activities are as a Risk Management Consultant to the chartered accountants, KMT Partners, advising them on gold futures trading and property development, and as the General Manager for the Australian Fishing Enterprise, working on a range of special projects.

Toni has been associated with the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University for several years and is a guest lecturer on the Master of Petroleum Engineering degree course giving an in-depth view of Petroleum Economics on the Reservoir Management unit.

In addition to his science degrees Toni also has a graduate diploma in accountancy and finance from Flinders University of South Australia (1989) and is currently completing a Masters in International Economics at the University of Adelaide on the topic of “Real Options”. He is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Professional Accountants and is a member of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
